A Landmark Installation for Singapore’s Top University
National University of Singapore (NUS) stands as Asia’s leading university, a world-renowned institution celebrated for its academic excellence, innovation, and cutting-edge research. Located in the western part of Singapore, its dynamic campus continues to evolve with new developments that reflect its forward-looking vision.
In the QS World University Rankings 2026, NUS ranked 8th globally and remains 1st in Asia, a testament to its global stature.
As part of the campus’ ongoing infrastructure upgrades, Big Image Group was entrusted with a large-scale hoarding installation project along Prince George’s Park Road. This visually striking display spans 250 metres, using high-resolution vinyl sticker prints to transform a standard construction perimeter into a clean, polished canvas.
The result is more than just a boundary, it’s a design-forward installation that aligns seamlessly with NUS’s premium identity and high aesthetic standards, ensuring the campus maintains its welcoming and professional appeal even during construction works.
Precision Installation with Professional Equipment
Executing a hoarding project of this scale required precision, coordination, and technical know-how. To achieve a clean and consistent finish across the entire stretch, our installation team utilised scissor lift to ensure straight and uniform application of every vinyl panel.
However, the site posed additional challenges with uneven terrain. Along sloped sections, we deployed customised scaffolding systems, giving our team the elevation stability needed to align each segment perfectly despite varying ground levels.
This meticulous approach demonstrates how Big Image Group combines design expertise with technical precision, ensuring the final outcome is both visually cohesive and structurally sound, even on complex terrains.
Tackling Rain and Design Alignment
One of the key concerns for the client was the uneven gradient along Prince George’s Park Road. The natural rise and fall of the ground meant the hoarding panels were at slightly different heights, creating a potential risk of the graphics appearing uneven or “floating” when viewed from a distance.
Leveraging our deep expertise in large-format printing, we carefully adjusted the design layout during pre-production. The visuals were printed with calculated compensation for the varying heights, ensuring that the overall image flow remained perfectly aligned and visually level across the entire 250-metre stretch.
Adding to the challenge was Singapore’s rainy season, which brought unpredictable showers throughout the installation period. Our team worked with agility and precision, moving quickly to cover completed areas, working through light drizzle when safe, and adjusting the schedule in real time to stay on track.
Even with these hurdles, the installation was completed on time, with no compromise on visual quality or finish.
Precision, Adaptability, and Design Excellence
The NUS hoarding project along Prince George’s Park Road is a showcase of precision, adaptability, and design excellence, hallmarks of Big Image Group’s approach to every project. From handling uneven ground conditions to working against the rain, the team delivered a smooth, visually impactful installation that met the university’s high expectations.
Located at 21 Lower Kent Ridge Rd, Singapore 119077, this stretch of hoarding is along 14A Prince George’s Park; enhancing the Prince George’s Park campus area while construction is underway. More than just signage, it reflects a thoughtful, design-led approach to how temporary structures can contribute to the visual identity of a landmark institution.
With every panel placed, this installation becomes more than a hoarding, it’s a reflection of NUS’s spirit of progress and Big Image Group’s commitment to excellence.
