SPH Media
In 2024, we were entrusted with installing the building signage for SPH Media, a project that required both precision and creativity. As Singapore’s largest omnichannel media network, SPH Media Trust has long been a name that commands attention across news, radio, and digital platforms. They operate several major newspapers across the four official languages of Singapore, such as The Straits Times, Lianhe Zaobao, The Business Times, Berita Harian, Tamil Murasu, and Shin Min Daily News.
Now, with newly front-lit signage, its presence shines just as brightly across the city skyline. This upgrade was about more than light, it was about evolution. It represents how a trusted media giant continues to adapt, refresh, and stay visible in a fast-changing world.
Meeting The Client’s Vision
The client wanted a solution for the building signage that would look seamless, modern, and enduring— and we delivered. The goal was to enhance what already worked, introducing lighting that would bring depth and vibrancy without losing the sleek minimalism of the façade.
To achieve this, our team used Front Lit Signage, engineered to deliver even lighting and lasting clarity. Instead of visible seams or panels, the signage surface was finished with high-grade banner prints, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted appearance across its large format.
The result? A facade that looks bold in the day, and beautifully defined by night.
Crane-Assisted For Time-Efficiency
Executing a signage project of this scale required meticulous coordination. Given the building’s height and the signage’s span, we deployed a crane-assisted lift system to position the structure safely and efficiently. This allowed our fabrication and installation teams to align every section with precision, while also keeping the site operations running smoothly.
Each phase, from lifting to electrical wiring and façade finishing, was done under a unified workflow, ensuring that design integrity met structural strength. It’s a process that reflects how we at Big Image Group approach large-scale projects: balancing engineering with artistry, and safety with efficiency.
Front Illumination For Brand Visibility
Located at 1000 Toa Payoh North, Singapore 318994, the SPH Media building stands prominently along Braddell Flyover, which connects to Singapore’s busiest expressways such as PIE and CTE. With thousands of commuters passing by daily, the building façade is a natural stage for the brand’s identity.
Now, with its front-lit signage, SPH Media’s logo isn’t just seen, it’s recognised. By day, it stands out against the skyline; by night, it casts a soft, confident glow that reinforces the brand’s presence across Singapore’s cityscape.
This illumination upgrade transforms a familiar landmark into a symbol of continuity, one that glows with the same reliability as the news and stories SPH Media delivers every day.
This project adds a new chapter to our ongoing partnership with SPH Media. From fabrication to installation, every detail reflects our shared dedication to precision, consistency, and brand excellence.
For us, it’s more than just signage, it’s about helping Singapore’s most iconic names tell their stories through design that stands the test of time, day and night.
