*SCAPE: Front Lit Branding Signs Installation by Rope Access
Our latest milestone with *SCAPE is one we’re especially proud of, an installation that combines creativity, precision, and technical expertise. Tasked with refreshing the building’s branding signs, our team delivered a solution that not only makes a bold visual impact but also reflects *SCAPE’s evolving identity as a hub for youth, creativity, and community.
While this update marks an important achievement, it is far from the end of the journey. Alongside the newly installed building signs, our team is preparing to roll out a full internal wayfinding signage system. This upcoming phase will seamlessly guide visitors through *SCAPE’s dynamic spaces, ensuring that the refreshed identity is consistently expressed both outside and within.
Two Sets of Front-Lit Signage
The installation featured two sets of front-lit signs, designed to capture *SCAPE’s youthful, energetic spirit. By day, the bold lettering stands out sharply against the building façade. By night, the glow of the illumination ensures visibility and recognition, creating a welcoming landmark along Orchard Road.
Front-lit signage is celebrated for its crisp, clean presentation, ideal for brands that want a modern and professional look. For *SCAPE, this style of building signage not only enhances visibility but also reflects the vibrancy and creativity that the building has long represented for Singapore’s youth.
Rope Access: Expertise at Heights
Due to the elevation and location of the signage, the project required our specialist Rope Access team. This method allowed us to work at height safely and efficiently, without relying on boomlifts, which were not feasible in this case. Rope Access also minimises disruption to the surrounding site and reduces environmental impact by cutting down on heavy machinery use.
Our scope of work involved carefully removing the old signage, cleaning the façade surfaces to ensure a pristine base, and installing the new front-lit designs with precision and easy manoeuvre. The result is a seamless finish that highlights both the technical expertise and attention to detail of our installation team.
The project underscores how Rope Access, when done by experienced professionals, is not just a practical choice but also a sustainable one, helping deliver complex signage installations while respecting the surrounding environment.
Looking Ahead: Wayfinding to Come
This installation is more than just new signage, it is a beacon of transformation for *SCAPE. The illuminated letters are now a visual statement of identity, welcoming the community and reinforcing *SCAPE’s role as a creative playground for youth.
But the journey doesn’t end here. Next, we’ll be completing the internal wayfinding signage system, ensuring that visitors enjoy the same sense of clarity, direction, and vibrancy inside the building as they do when they first encounter its striking new façade.
