When CapitaLand began redeveloping 2 Clementi Loop into a seven-storey ramp-up warehouse in District 5, they needed a hoarding project that could do more than block off a construction site — it needed to look sharp, comply with authority requirements, and hold up for the duration of a multi-year build.

Big Image Group was engaged to print and install a 400-metre run of hoarding vinyl stickers with a 3.6m height around the perimeter.

Here’s a look at how the project came together — from BCA submission to final installation with scissor lifts.

Why Hoarding Prints Matter on a Redevelopment Site

Hoarding boards aren’t just temporary construction barriers. On a high-visibility site like 2 Clementi Loop — sitting along Clementi Avenue 6 with strong connectivity to the AYE, PIE, and key logistics nodes — hoarding is often the first (and longest-lasting) impression of a development that passersby, tenants, and stakeholders see for months or years.

Well-executed hoarding vinyl stickers do three things at once:

  • Brand the site with consistent visuals that reflect the developer and project identity
  • Communicate project information required by authorities, in a legible, weatherproof format
  • Protect the public by keeping construction activity safely screened off

Scope of the 2 Clementi Loop Hoarding Project

For a project of this length, Big Image Group’s scope covered:

  • Design layout and print production of large-format hoarding vinyl stickers, panel by panel, to ensure seamless alignment across the full run
  • BCA authority submission support, including detailed drawings to meet regulatory requirements for construction hoarding
  • On-site installation using scissor lifts, allowing our team to work safely and efficiently at height and across long horizontal stretches of hoarding

BCA Submission: Getting the Paperwork Right Before the Print

  • Big Image Group assisted with the authority submission, preparing detailed drawings that documented the hoarding layout, dimensions, and placement.

This step matters because hoarding installations that aren’t properly submitted and approved can face delays or rework — costly on a live construction site. By handling the drawings and submission process alongside the print production, we helped keep project on schedule from approval through to installation.

Installation: Why We Used Scissor Lifts for This Hoarding Project

Sections of hoarding at 2 Clementi Loop required careful, elevated access to ensure the vinyl stickers are applied smoothly, without bubbling, misalignment, or wrinkling — especially at panel joins where visual continuity matters most.

  • Stable, level platforms for precise vinyl application across taller hoarding sections
  • Faster coverage of long horizontal runs compared to ladders or scaffolding
  • Safer working conditions for installers, in line with site safety requirements on site

Working systematically across the perimeter helped maintain consistent tension, alignment, and finish across all 400 metres.
