Taking us back to the signs done for Division Athletics’ first outlet at Shenton Way, we are honoured to have been engaged for their second outlet (Paya Lebar)’s branding. Watching our clients’ expansion growth is a meaningful achievement, making us value and to maintain long term relationships with our clients.
The signs installed in Shenton Way were all indoors, whereas for Paya Lebar’s outlet, both signs are outdoors. We stick to their corporate identity and made use of the colors of black and red, with white LED lighting for contrast. One of the main factors why LED are more common these days is because they are energy-efficient and long lasting. Also, the LED concealed are meant for outdoors, making them durable while exposed to daily weather conditions.
Here are a few of the design considerations of these signs:
- Visibility:
- Ensure the signs are easily readable and captivating from a distance.
- Use contrasting colors making the texts and logos stand out.
- Branding:
- Reflect Division Athletics’ brand identity in the design and color scheme; black base as bold and strong, red texts as powerful and dynamic, white lighting as balance, enhancing visibility and adding depth.
- Durability:
- Use weather-resistant materials for exterior signage, from anti-rust aluminium, to outdoor paints, to weatherproof LED and tools.
- Ensure the internal parts of signs are resistant to humidity and impact.
- Placement:
- Position signs at eye level (or slightly above) for easy visibility, taking into account the different angles seen from the most busy and common paths and roads.
- Consider the flow of foot traffic and passersby by transport.
